Week 2 - Changes of the Component

Week 2 : 10th - 16th Feb

Objective:

• Identify the changes of the component
• Reasons of the changes

Contents:

From previous idea, the motion of the robot are by using the servo motor. After surveying and analyse, the servo motor are replaced with the dc motor 5V. The reason are:

• DC motor more cheaper than servo motor
• 4 DC motor for each wheel capable for the motion of the robot 

Previously, the idea using 2 unit of servo motor replaced with 4 unit of DC motor 5V which are for every wheel of the robot.

• Preparation on project hardware and software
• Surveying and buying the component of the project

Contents:

After surveying the component for 3 days, here the list of the component that have been brought:

1. 1 unit of L298 motor driver shield - RM 50.00

2. 1 unit of Ultrasonic Sensor LVE21 - RM 145.00

3. 1 unit of 4x4 robot base - RM 200.00

4. 1 unit of LiPO Battery - RM 80.00
5. 1 unit of Arduino Uno R3 Controller - RM 90.00
